All sorts of things have inspired my collection of cards, usually they come from an invitation idea or a particular theme. The 'Scarecrow&rsquo' was 'created to celebrate an anniversary for an Embroidered Collection event. I had found one of the first garments we ever did with a &lsquo'Sun&rsquo' design on it, very well worn and loved, it was reluctantly given up and put on a very well dressed and spirited scarecrow complete with scarf, gloves and trilby who turned with arms outstretched to the 'wind.

I delight in seeing some of my early work still being worn by my customers, the garment often showing the ravages of consistent wear, but the embroidery still looking good even after all that time.

The 'Dreamcoat' card was an inspiration from a poem, after which I then decided to actually make and embroider a coat with 'as many of the designs I had ever done all on the same garment.
